Q: What happens if a paintout event is held on a rainy day?  Are paintouts ever cancelled because of weather?

A:  If there is a contact for the event, you might be able to get a last minute update. Usually the host will make an effort to show even if the weather is bad. Generally, one takes ones chances with the weather. If the weather is poor, most people will stay home.

You might also consider going anyway if there will be adequate shelter at the site.  Rain paintings are a unique challenge and gray skies bring out the colors in the landscape!

Q: The event that I want to attend is full.  Is there a waiting list?

A: Unfortunately, there is no way for us to manage a waiting list for an event without incurring a major headache for the organizer.  This has been tried for past events and was deemed not viable.  If an event is full, please check back often to see if space opens up.  Many times people will register far in advance, then cancel out closer to the day of the event.

Q: I have to cancel my registration for an event.  What do I do?

A: Please send an email to membership@mapapa.org as soon as you know for sure that you won't be able to attend.  We will cancel your registration.

Q: I'd like to host a paintout.  What do I need to do?

A: So glad you asked!  Please take a look at the page titled "How you--Yes YOU! can host a paint out." Everything you need to know to make it happen is listed for you.
